Section Chair
Carolyn Green, BSN, RN-C, MBA
Carolyn Green loves Women’s Health nursing. Her background includes working in Labor and Delivery as a bedside nurse, managing OB Triage, Women’s Imaging, and Women’s Health Clinic. Her current role is Executive Director for Women’s Services and Nursing Clinical Operations at UNM Hospitals where she has worked for over 21 years. Carolyn is a firm believer in the mother-baby dyad and directed the change to this nursing model within UNM Hospitals. She was involved with bringing a physician to offer in vitro fertilization (IVF) to the patients in New Mexico as well as assisting in the planning and opening of a nurse-run lactation education and consult service. She is very active in the planning for the new maternity center at UNM Hospitals scheduled to open in April 2007. During her tenure as adjunct faculty for the UNM College of Nursing, Carolyn served as a master clinician for nursing students during their OB rotation.
